Glitchpulse Records Presents: arcsec - my battery is low and it's getting dark. (GPR005) Releases 5th December 2024

Driven by a lifelong fascination with space and technology, arcsec has created a soundtrack to honor the final hours of the Opportunity rover as its battery gradually faded on the Martian surface. Unable to recharge due to a dust storm, the rover transmitted one last, incomplete image, which serves as the artwork for this EP, titled after the now-iconic tweet from Jacob Margolis.
Track Listing: 1. quad PR 2. pols voice 3. m60-ucd1 4. contact binary (arrokoth) 5. reveal:sudran 6. UY scuti
Musically, the EP draws heavy inspiration from Autechre, particularly their Oversteps and Exai eras, focusing on fragmented, unconventional melodies while maintaining the abstract rhythms, digital textures, and atmospheric drones featured in the previous arcsec EPs. Together, these elements form a haunting, dystopian soundscape.

A Monumental Year for Glitchpulse11/27/2024 We kicked off 2024 with our first release in two years: the explosive four-track remix EP, Breath of the Abyss - Permutations Remixed (IDMf066). That was just the beginning. Seven more releases followed, along with a complete rebrand and the launch of glitchpulser.com. The year also saw a transformative overhaul of IDMforums.com. It was looking grim when the forum went down for over two weeks, but we bounced back with vital security updates, Discord integration, and modernized functionality. Our presence expanded across major streaming platforms, including the release of a stunning five-volume, 64-track back-catalog mix of fan-favorite IDMf Netlabel tracks (2008–2024), all sensationally remastered at Millennium Mastering. Thanks to these efforts, our Bandcamp stats soared to heights not seen since 2016, and our community continues to grow. On top of these achievements, we’ve worked to complete the IDMf Netlabel catalog. This included rediscovering three long-lost albums:
We’re thrilled to close the year with two more exciting releases:
Coming soon... Anagram 4: Lume – A Special Re-releaseChristopher Lombardo (Silent Strangers) created the four-part Anagram series during his time with IDMf, releasing it in collaboration with Section 27. The final installment, Anagram 4: Lume, debuted in 2017, but Chris was unable to connect with IDMf at the time. Earlier this year, we reached out with an exciting proposal: to remaster the full 10-track album at Millennium Mastering and re-release it through IDMf. Chris took it a step further, contributing four previously unreleased tracks to make this edition truly special. Thank you, Chris! The definitive edition of Anagram 4: Lume drops January 18th, 2025. Released 26th November 2024
IDMf Retrospective Vol. 4 delves deep into the complexities of the human experience - uncertainty, life, death, transcendence, darkness, grief, family, loss, struggle, and loneliness. It explores self-reflection and the path to acceptance, posing profound questions: Where do we go from here? What does it mean to lead a fulfilled life? How do we embrace both the present and the unknown future?
This album reimagines past IDMf projects, weaving them into a cohesive and resonant narrative. Track titles hint at the themes, but it’s the music that tells the true story. Whether you're hitting the open road or sitting in your favorite chair with headphones on, prepare for an existential journey. Included are two powerful new tracks by respected IDMf alumni Aaron Goodwyn: “Mother and Son” and “Miles Apart”, heartfelt tributes to his late mother and father. Track List: 1. Aaron Goodwyn - Mother and Son 2. J Wilson - It Flickers between the Endless 3. Mnemosyne - Strength and Ease 4. RFJ - Contemplation 5. Mimetik - Path 1: Small Paths Towards Solitude 6. Mosaic Mosaic - While We Sleep 7. Halogen - Length & Brecht (Synaecide Remix) 8. Aaron Goodwyn - Miles Apart 9. GBSR - Give it to the Drummer 10. Ibunshi - Sipher 11. Chaotic Pulse - Metamorphosis 12. Aaron Goodwyn - Loss of Life 13. Guy Wachtel - UNKNWN

Glitchpulse Records brings you new experimental electronic music to the tune of:
Quantumplex - Mandelbrot - z_(n+1)-z_n^2+c (GPR004) Within, you’ll hear a collection of hardware jam sessions by Elliott and Joe, carefully stitched together by hand to create coherent pieces of music. Moreish grooves and tasteful synth beauty. If you’re a fan of our previous releases, you’ll love this one too. ![]()
Elliott is a Sydney, Australia based knob twiddler. His style is wildly experimental, but consistently good. Millenia from now, things will grow cold and fade, until the combined atoms of the observable universe cease to exist, like a tree falling in a forest with no one to hear it, the sand will drain down the plughole with no one to see it - the borders will shrink and blur as the fractals expand - the infinite void, the infinite plane, everything and nothing - Zen. Electronic, textured beat, analog beats, cutting edge, fractal, futurism, glitch, idm, soundscape, textured
